Sherlock

Hello again, my adoring fans! Welcome back to this fascinating channel, now about the wonderful world of Sherlock Holmes – by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Now, me and my fantastic followers (I highly suggest that you become one) have begun The Hound of the Baskervilles & The Valley of Fear – in my opinion, one of Mr. Doyle’s greatest novels.

In the view of my favourite character, Watson, Sherlock has invited a guest. Who is this mysterious figure, and what is so important about him to the plot?

The Amber Spyglass

For ages last night, I read The Amber Spyglass. Away in Dr. Malone’s isolated world, she finishes constructing her instrument, known to me as The Amber Spyglass. She then is invited to a community meeting with the mulefa and listens to the alienish being, the supreme leader.

The mulefa, another civilisation, can see the particle known as Dust. But Mary must create an instrument to see it. Dust gives people a better understanding of their life, and the unique world around them.

I can tell that the Magisterium (a special branch of the church and quite a high-ranking part – to be precise) name the subject of Dust as “sin”, because they can then cut it away from the people, allowing more or less everyone can blindly follow them. They will then turn the world into a dictatorship, and the communist planet will then disintegrate under the control of the Magisterium!

The Amber Spyglass (again)

The Intention Craft, an extroadinarily fascinating sort of transportation device, is being tested. It requires a human and their daemon (their natural companion from birth to death) to pilot the massive construction. After being demonstrated how to fly The Intention Craft, Mrs. Coulter suddenly sweeps her ex-fiancée – who happened to be performing the demonstration – into the ground. Before anyone could stop her, the evil woman flew straight up, into the air…

I think that Mrs. Coulter might be quite glad and proud of herself, as she’s managed to escape from the (quite heavily guarded) prison. She will most probably feel much more free to do what she wants, such as saving her daughter. But little does she know, Lord Asriel and King Ogunwe have an improved Intention Craft, fuelled up and at the ready…

The Amber Spyglass (that’s a new one)

On the weekend – when my life actually gets boring as there’s nothing to do – I read The Amber Spyglass. After saving his trusty friend, Will disappears into another world. He and Lyra are finally relaxed, yet someone else isn’t…

Mrs. Coulter, a young woman, is being kept prisoner. Under the control of the noble King Ogunwe and Lord Asriel, she asks to inspect a new machine…

I can tell that Mrs. Coulter is feeling ashamed to be kept prisoner, and is wanting King Ogunwe and Lord Asriel to treat her as an equal. But she must also be feeling quite frustrated, because she knows that it won’t ever happen.

The Amber Spyglass (again)

Last night, and during other parts of yesterday, I read The Amber Spyglass. Will, a young boy of thirteen, discovers his companion and friend, Lyra, is in a cave. He heroically rescues her from her mother, Mrs. Coulter, lobbing Lyra through a window to another world. But his unique, powerful knife has been broken in the attempt to capture Lyra’s mother; he cannot travel between worlds any more. After running away from the malevolent Mrs. Coulter, Will and Lyra venture north, finding a long-lost friend, the almighty Bear King, Iorek Byrnison. Reluctantly, Iorek agrees to fix the knife…

Far away, in another world, Mrs. Coulter is being kept prisoner. King Ogunwe, the noble king has her under his control. A

The Amber Spyglass

From 8:00 to 10:30, I read The Amber Spyglass. The experimental theologist, Dr. Malone is praised by the unique civilisation, the mulefa for saving their extremely special and precious seed-pods, and is invited to stay in their newly rebuilt settlement.

Over in another world, Will, a boy of thirteen, has recently found his trusty companion, Lyra Belaqua. Using his knife, he cuts through to another world, accompanied by an angel, Balthamos. Will meets the malevolent Mrs. Coulter, in her cave, nursing her daughter, Lyra. Then he is forced to flee…

The Amber Spyglass

Last night, from between 7.45 (I know, it’s early) and 10:30, I read The Amber Spyglass. Dr. Mary Malone returns to the home of the mulefa, but it’s been destroyed…

The unique seed-pods are missing! But Mary ventures far into the lake where the seed-pods have been lost; the massive, hard organic things are far in the distance. The scientist seizes them, and, pulling them behind her, drags the seed-pods back to shore…

The Amber Spyglass

Last night, I read The Amber Spyglass from between 8.30, and 10.45. The scientist from Oxford has found a new civilisation of elephant-like rolling animals, the mulefa. After creating a bond with them, Dr. M. Malone rides with the mulefa to their settlement, but soon must flee; other rival animals are on the loose…

The Amber Spyglass

Last night, I read The Amber Spyglass for about two and a half hours. A scientist from Oxford college, researching a special type of particle, called Dust. She has recently passed through a portal-like window, into another world. Exploring the forests of the new world, she discovers odd beings…

The Spectres, a type of deadly ghost infests this other world. They roam the small towns, either killing, or forcing the humans to flee…
